Crystal Vickers, MS CCC-SLP

Crystal, the founder and owner, is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1998, after which she taught in public schools for 7 years. In 2007, Crystal completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Crystal has experience in hospital, home health, outpatient therapy, rehabilitation, and school settings. After opening her private practice, Crystal primarily focused on pediatric speech therapy with a special interest in early intervention services. She has successfully treated individuals with apraxia, articulation disorders, aphasia, autism spectrum, cerebral palsy, cognitive delays, Down syndrome, dysarthria, dysphagia, feeding delays, language delays (expressive and receptive), learning disabilities, seizures, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. Crystal is certified by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Betsy Griffin, MS CCC-SLP

Betsy is a licensed speech-language pathologist who joined the practice in February 2017. She received her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2015. Betsy has experience with ages 1 to 90+ years of age through her prior work in public schools and nursing homes.  She routinely conducts therapy for the following conditions: aphasia, apraxia, articulation, autism, cognitive deficits, expressive and receptive language delays, fluency, learning disabilities, and traumatic brain injury. Betsy is certified by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Marissa Groom, MS CCC-SLP

Marissa is a licensed speech-language pathologist who joined the practice in December 2018. She received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL in May 2017.  Marissa also works for a skilled nursing facility in the area. She has experience with ages 1 month to 90+ years of age. She conducts therapy for several conditions, including: articulation, feeding, expressive and receptive delays, autism, apraxia, aphasia, dysphagia, fluency, cognitive deficits, and traumatic brain injury.  Marissa is certified by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Madison Criswell, MS CF-SLP

Madison is a licensed speech-language pathologist who joined the practice in July 2019.  Prior to joining the practice, Madison completed clinical rotations with Betsy and Crystal. Madison graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in May 2019 with her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.  Prior to graduate school, Madison worked as a speech therapy assistant for the Clarksville School District and for a private practice clinic in Clarksville, TN.  Madison also works in school-based therapy in Waynesville.  Her experience includes the evaluation and treatment of articulation, expressive and receptive language delays, autism, fluency, and learning disabilities. Madison is certified by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Danelle Daigle, SLPA

Danelle is a certified speech-language pathology assistant who joined the practice in August 2018. She received her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and Disorders from the University of Kansas. Danelle has been focusing on pediatric speech and early intervention services (First Steps). She plans to obtain her master’s degree in speech-language pathology.  Danelle is certified by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts.

Courtney Moro, OTR/L

Courtney, an occupational therapist, joined our practice in 2015. Courtney obtained her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005. Courtney has spent the  majority of her career working full time in the specialty area of pediatrics. She has worked in the Missouri state schools for severely disabled, early intervention, outpatient, and home health. Courtney has experience with children of all ages and diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, pervasive developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities, cognitive delays, cortical visual impairment, hearing impairments and general developmental delays.  Courtney is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy.

Meredith Carpenter, OTD, OTR/L

Meredith is a certified and licensed occupational therapist who joined the practice in July 2018.  She received her Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Northern Arizona University in May 2018.  Meredith also works in school-based therapy.  She has experience with children ages birth-21 and diagsnoses, including autism spectrum, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit disorder, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, pervasive developmental delays, learning disabilities, cognitive delays, and general developmental delays.  Meredith is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy.

Mary Banash, Special Instructor

Mary is a licensed elementary and middle school teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience.  She has a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  She is trained as a reading specialist.  Mary joined the practice in June 2017, providing home-based services for the birth to 3 population.  She has experience with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing disorder.  Mary provides tutoring services to school-age students, specializing in reading for Pre-K through adult.  She also works as a substitute teacher. 

Tami Ellis, Office Assistant

Tami graduated in the top of her class in 1989 from Southwest College in San Diego, CA in Medical Office Assisting. Following graduation, she worked at South Coast Medical Clinic and San Diego Family Doctor. Tami has raised her family, moved all over the U.S. as a military spouse, and settled in Missouri. She is a friendly professional who loves supporting local business and serving in her community through her work at the Speech House.
